1. About MathsLove

MathsLove provides mathematics assessments, Maths IQ (MIQ) scores, mathematical learning content, question banks and related educational services.

The MathsLove assessment is intended to provide an indication of a student's performance based on the assessment questions, including factors such as accuracy and completion time.

The MIQ score is a MathsLove-created assessment score. It is not intended to be a clinical, psychological or professionally administered IQ test and should not be treated as a diagnosis or as a substitute for a standardised psychological assessment.

2. Eligibility and Use by Students

Students may use MathsLove with the involvement, knowledge or supervision of a parent, guardian, teacher or other responsible adult where appropriate.

If you are a parent or guardian allowing a child to use MathsLove, you are responsible for ensuring that the child uses the Services appropriately and in accordance with these Terms.

3. Assessment Rules

To maintain the integrity of the assessment:

• Students should attempt the assessment independently.
• Calculators, external websites, AI tools, mobile phones or other sources of assistance should not be used unless expressly permitted.
• Pen and paper may be used where permitted by the assessment instructions.
• The assessment may have a time limit, after which it may automatically end.
• MathsLove may use the student's answers and completion time to calculate the MIQ score and generate assessment insights.

MathsLove may invalidate or disregard an assessment result where there is reasonable evidence that the assessment was not completed in accordance with the stated rules.

4. MIQ Scores and Assessment Results

MIQ scores are generated according to the MathsLove scoring methodology applicable to the assessment.

The score and analysis are intended to provide educational insight and feedback.

They should not be used as the sole basis for making decisions regarding a student's academic placement, educational needs, career, employment or other significant decisions.

Assessment results may vary depending on the questions presented, the student's familiarity with the subject matter, testing environment, concentration, time taken and other factors.

5. Accuracy of Results

We aim to make our assessments and scoring systems accurate and reliable.

However, we do not guarantee that every assessment result will be error-free or that an MIQ score represents a complete measurement of a student's mathematical ability or intelligence.

We may modify, improve or update our assessment methodology, questions, scoring system or analysis from time to time.

6. Intellectual Property

All content available through MathsLove, including but not limited to:

• Questions and question banks
• Explanations and solutions
• Assessment formats
• MIQ scoring methodology
• Reports and analysis
• Text, graphics, logos and designs
• Website content

is owned by or licensed to MathsLove and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, modify, reverse engineer or commercially exploit any MathsLove content without our prior written permission.

7. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or its systems.
• Copy or reproduce MathsLove questions or assessment content.
• Share assessment questions publicly or with other students.
• Use automated systems, bots or other methods to interfere with the Services.
• Attempt to manipulate, circumvent or reverse engineer the MIQ scoring system.
• Use the Services for unlawful purposes.

8. Payments and Purchases

Where MathsLove offers paid assessments, question banks, reports or other digital products, the applicable price and purchase terms will be displayed before payment.

Digital products may be subject to specific refund or cancellation conditions displayed at the time of purchase.

We reserve the right to correct pricing or other obvious errors and to cancel an order where necessary.
